How to choose between these options
Start from the job the report has to do, then read the vendor's own page before you buy: plans and prices change.
- A free plan: Jam and Userback list one; Marker.io, BugHerd and Usersnap do not state one.
- A trial with a stated length: Marker.io lists 15 days and Jam lists a free trial of 14 days on Team, and ContextCapture has a 14-day free trial. BugHerd and Userback do not state a length, and Usersnap's trial ends after 20 feedback items.
- Console logs and network requests in the report: Jam attaches both and Userback includes both from Business. Marker.io lists both under issue context without stating the plan, Usersnap captures console error logs, and BugHerd states neither.
- A widget on your own site that ends as a GitHub issue: ContextCapture files each report that way once the site's repository is connected.
- Clients commenting without log-ins: BugHerd states that clients need no accounts or log-ins.
